For all students, our interactive approach brings the world of math alive with highly engaging, skill-building activities.
Individualized diagnosis, instruction and assessment mean that lessons scaffold to build upon students' previous knowledge.
Best of all, our research-based lessons spark student's curiosity and imagination.
The goal of CompassLearning Odyssey Math is to help students from kindergarten through high school learn fundamental skills and
develop processes for inquiry and exploration. We provide a meaningful context for applying ideas, tools, and manipulatives; and
align all this to your state's standards.
By using a combination of direct instruction, guided feedback, and exploration, Odyssey Math allows students to develop a deeper understanding
of the subject. Our curriculum is grounded in the extensive knowledge base of mathematics research and features best practices for concept
development and instruction. This allows students to expand their knowledge and gradually increase their problem-solving skills.
And students who learn in different ways benefit from the components of the online activities that engage their senses and provide opportunities
for reasoning, investigation, questioning, communicating, problem solving, and collaboration. Online tools allow students to apply their newly
developed skills and knowledge.
To extend the learning beyond the computer, students have access to offline resources to enhance reasoning and communication skills as
they write, draw, and talk about math. These resources allow students to reflect, enhance, and transfer knowledge.
Add it all up and you have effective learning that enables students to connect more easily with math concepts and procedures.
